Texas Elections Administrator Gave Workers Colon Cleanse Instead Of Energy Drink

2.2kviews

Police say that Denise Hernandez, an ex-Texas elections administrator, told her employees that she was offering them a Spark energy beverage.

On April 27, 2021, the workers drank the pink liquid. Then, Hernandez left out of the room. When she came back in, she displayed a canister of colon cleanse and started teasing the workers. Some of them had already started to feel sick.

“You just drank colon cleanse,” Hernandez is reported to have begun singing.

Reports indicate that some colon cleaners can be harmful, so it’s really not a laughing matter. Some of the workers who already had health problems really struggled.

Court documents show that Hernandez has a history of being a “bully.” An employee noted how she poked her in the breast and would make fun of her.

On March 9, Hernandez pleaded guilty to two counts of assault causing bodily harm.

She isn’t employeed as an elections administrator anymore and must do 80 hours of community service. To add, she will be on probation for 18 months.
