Dallas police are investigating after a woman was killed and a man was injured during a shooting.
The incident happened Wednesday around 4:00pm when officers responded to a shooting call on the 3800 block of East Illinois Avenue.
When officers arrived they found the victim, Shanique Shameion Alex,25 suffering from a gunshot wound to her upper back. She was transported to an area hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
A male witness in the vehicle with the victim was also injured. He was transported to a hospital and remains hospitalized.
This shooting remains under investigation.
