A man is in jail after he accidentally shot himself in the leg with the same gun that was used in a murder over 6 months ago.
In January, Laquavana Ladarien Goode shot himself in the knee while in the parking lot of a Lewisville Walmart.
He called police for help. When officers and emergency crews arrived he was transported to a local hospital and officers confiscated his weapon.
Officers ran tests on the weapon and learned it had been used in a murder last summer that killed a homeless man.
Goode has since been arrested and charged with murder. He remains in Dallas County Jail.
