Foster Dad of 20 Kids Arrested For Sexual Assault And Thousands Of Child Pornography Images
On February 15, Justin Dwayne Johnson, 47, was apprehended by Sanford Police, in Florida, as an investigation is being performed.
Johnson has been charged with child pornography and sexual abuse. This comes after he was granted approval to be a foster parent for the last three years. During this time, he cared for close to 20 children, mostly girls.
On Jan. 28, Child Protective Services alerted authorities of alleged child pornography after a victim came forward. Five of the kids were then taken from his residence.
Evidence collected showed that Johnson had thousands of photos and recordings of child pornography and sexual assault of several children. These images were found on cell phones, computers, and hidden cameras in his house.
It was noted that the images were taken throughout many years, and some included infants.
Johnson, whose two grown sons reside with him, was released on a $115,000 bond.
“The primary job of a foster care parent is to ensure the children in their care are loved, nurtured, and protected from further trauma. No child should ever have to endure the egregious actions of the accused perpetrator,” stated the Florida Department of Children and Families.
Johnson faces three counts of video voyeurism with a child less than 16 and two counts of possession of 10 or more child pornography images.
