Man Wanted After Fatally Stabbing Mother In Her Arlington Home

On Sunday afternoon, a man in Arlington fatally stabbed his mother at her residence. Now, police are searching for him.

Close to 7:30 p.m., a man called authorities to his home in the 1900 block of Longmeadow Drive. He stated that his wife was in the front yard bleeding and unconscious.

When emergency crews arrived to the location, the woman was declared deceased.

On Monday afternoon, the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the woman as Teresa Dewitt Pierce, 55. The office hasn’t confirmed the cause of her death.

Although police have not disclosed why, they have arrested Nathan Woodard, Pierce’s 26-year-old son, who is belived to be the suspect.

Authorities began searching for Woodard on Sunday evening. They were granted a search warrant while they continue to look.

Police have shared a picture of Woodard with the media that was taken when he was apprehended on Jan 4. for criminal mischief.

Woodard is thought to be armed and dangerous. Anyone who observes him is asked to avoid communication with him and contact authorities.
