Woman Wins $25,000 Lottery Prize, Using The License Plate Numbers From Her Wrecked Vehicle

A retiree had a wrecked car but decided to use its license plate numbers when she played the lottery.

Fortunately for her, it paid off. She ended up winning a $25,000 lottery jackpot.

The woman, from Columbia, Maryland, attempted the new Pick 5 game on February 14. She purchased the ticket for 50-cents and played the numbers on the license plate of her vehicle that had just been towed from a small crash.

The next day, she couldn’t believe it when she learned she had actually won $25,000.

“I called my friend and said, “Can you believe this?” the winner remembered. She then went back to the store where she purchased the ticket. She scanned it and validated that she had really won.

The winner disclosed to Maryland Lottery officials that she plans to use the money for a down payment on a new convertible.
