Judge Sets Houston Mans Bail At $2 Million After He Intentionally Ran Over And Then Beat A Woman

A Houston man is in custody after he intentionally ran over a woman and then beat her with a metal pipe.
The incident occurred Thursday around 2am in the 9700 block of Bissonnet Street.
According to reports Chiedozie Amadi,22 intentionally drove his car onto the sidewalk into Jasmine James,26.
His car flipped over and crashed into a utility pole. After getting out of the vehicle he grabbed a metal pipe and struck James.
When authorities arrived they noticed Amadi standing over James with the pipe. He was arrested without incident.
James was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Amadi has been charged with murder and remains in jail on a $2 million bond.
