One young girl in Pflugerville, Texas, received a chance of a lifetime. It was an opportunity to meet one of her favorite sports’ players, Philadelphia Eagles’ player, Anthony Harris.
Audrey Soape, experienced the most tragic time of her life before the unique and special moment happened. Her father and her grandfather had recently passed away.
As the Daddy-Daughter Dance was nearing, of course, she was feeling saddened, having no father-figure to escort her.
Her mother came up with an idea to ensure that her daughter would enjoy the occasion and to lift her spirits. She contacted Anthony Harris through social media. She then asked him if he would fly to Texas and escort Audrey to the dance.
“It was far-fetched…It’s a big ask,” the mother said.
Shockingly, Harris responded to her request. “Not only will I come, I want to make sure she feels like a princess.”
Harris caught a plane to Austin, Texas, and paid for Audrey’s dress, shoes, hair, and makeup expenses. Additionally, he visited with her family for a while and had a driver transport her to the dance.
“I was very happy, and I also felt very special because not a lot of stuff happened to people like this, and especially me, “ Audrey expressed.
