Austin Lanz, 27, was named the suspect in a deadly assault against a Pentagon police officer on August 3.

During the occurrence, Austin Lanz got off of a bus at the Pentagon Transit Center and supposedly stabbed a police officer, George Gonzalez. He then shot and killed himself.

Now, Matthew Lanz, Austin Lanz’s younger sibling, has been charged in relation to killing a couple and stabbing an officer in Georgia last year.

It was said that the 22-year-old had broken into the home of Justin and Amber Hicks, his new neighbors. He fatally shot the couple, leaving their 2-year-old son by himself with his dead parents for 12 hours.

Two days after that, Lanz stabbed a police officer who confronted him inside of another residence that he was burglarizing. The officer suffered wounds to his neck and back.

Other officers responded to the scene and Lanz was shot twice. He was later released from the medical facility and has been in custody every since.

On Thursday, Matthew Lanz learned he is facing thirteen charges. These include, four counts of felony murder, two counts of possession of a firearm during a felony, second-degree cruelty to children, and more.
