Authorities in San Antonio, Texas, stated that a man fatally shot two people close to an apartment community.

Police have named Michael Vincent Burger, 20, as the shooter who killed the victims who were possibly his parents. They stated that the deceased were a 56-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman. Their identities haven’t been totally confirmed.

An officer was working a car wreck when he heard several gunshots from across the street at an apartment complex on Sunday. He discovered two people dead on the street.

Then he saw the armed assailant, Burger, who was carrying an AR and a shotgun. The suspect then knelt between two cars. When he stood up, the officer fired a few shots at him. Burger wasn’t struck but surrendered and was taken into custody.

Police say they will continue to investigate the matter.

Burger is in the Bexar County Jail and is charged with capital murder. He has a $500,000 bond.
