Chick-fil-A has announced that they will open a distribution center in the city of Hutchins.
This brings a $325 million investment to Hutchins and will be part of a joint campus for Chick-fil-A Supply and Bay Center TM Foods. It will be the third full-scale Chick-fil-A distribution center and its second Bay Center Foods building.
“Hutchins and the greater Dallas area offer a wealth of opportunities for business with its great talent pipeline and infrastructure. This investment in the region will help fuel the growth of Chick-fil-A restaurants. It will allow us to continue innovating around their unique needs, so we can better serve our franchise operators, licensees, and their teams,” stated the senior vice-president of the company.
The minimum average salary, including benefits will be about $68,585 for employees of the new center. This is more than 90% of the city’s median household earnings.
$26 million is the expected annual payroll that will be distributed out. These new wages may change the standards for Hutchins.
Chick-fil-A was founded in 1967. They now have more than 2,700 restaurants.
The distribution center is expected to open in 2023.
