Man Arrested For Murder Following A Shooting At An Arlington Shopping Center

A man was arrested Saturday afternoon following a shooting that left one man dead and another seriously injured.

Officers responded to a shooting call on the 4100 block of S. Copper St around 4:30pm.

Upon arrival they found two men on the ground suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

When emergency crews arrived they pronounced a 31 year old man dead at the scene and transported a 29 year old man to an area hospital in serious condition.

Two people were also detained at the scene for questioning where officers learned Jacob LaTravis Yi,20 was responsible for the shooting.

He was arrested and charged with murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

The victims identity has not been released at this time.
