Dallas police have arrested a man that robbed and attacked an 82 year old man in South Dallas.
Officers responded to a robbery call around 1:05am Sunday on the 2800 block of Gould Street.
Upon arrival they found the victim, Charles Edward Tillery, 82 laying on the ground covered in blood.
He was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
During investigation officers learned that the suspect, Darren Marcel Hanson,32 was responsible for the murder.
He was arrested and charged with the murder. His bond is set at $1,150,000.00.
While being interviewed police say Hanson admitted to having a fight with Tillery and taking $20. He was also a suspect in a similar robbery involving a 64 year old man outside a Dallas liquor store on January 22.
He was captured on video surveillance kicking the man from behind and punching him and spitting on him before taking $30.
