School District Prohibits Students From Wearing Cloth Face-Masks

Students in Los Angeles Unified School District will be prohibited from wearing cloth face-masks.

Students must are now restricted to only wear “well-fitted, non-cloth masks with a nose wire”. District officials said surgical masks or higher-grade masks are acceptable and would be available to students upon request.

The sudden shift away from cloth masks was urged from L.A. County health authorities to help limit the spread of COVID.

LAUSD has exempt those students who have a disability, medical or mental health condition that makes them unable to comply.
