Bowie HS Students Wear Banana Costumes To Game And Make Monkey Sounds Towards Athletes
City View High School staff and parents are urging their fellow community members to take action against Bowie High School for their alleged racist actions.
According to a post on facebook, Bowie HS students were antagonizing City View HS athletes during a basketball game.
The students in the bleachers could be seen wearing watermelon and banana costumes. During the game those students began making monkey sounds directed to the players.
City View HS coaches and faculty staff reached out to Bowie HS informing them of the incident. To their disbelief, Bowie HS refused to take disciplinary action and allegedly justified their actions.
City View HS is hoping their peers and community members will contact the media outlets and get justice for their team.
