Docquen Jovo Watkins, 31, has been arrested after fatally choking his boyfriend of 10 years.
He has been charged with second-degree murder.
The incident occurred last week. The two began arguing while playing the video game, Overwatch, a widely-known team-based shooter game.
Authorities say that Watkins called them to his home in Pontiac, Michigan. He then stated that he and his mate, Rory Teasley, 28, had been in an altercation.
When authorities arrived at the home, they found Teasley unconscious although Watkins had said that he was asleep.
When authorities found that Teasley wasn’t breathing, they quickly transported him to a medical facility where he was pronounced deceased.
Watkins is currently in custody without bond.
