Eight Walmart employees were allegedly fired after using price scanners as guns.
On Sunday, a TikTok was posted showing walmart employees holding their price scanners and “firing” them like guns. The video was recorded with the song “Dolo Stank” and has over 200,000 views and 800 comments. The recording was intended to be funny, however, one user informed viewers, “They all got fired” in overlay text.
Commenters had mixed feelings about the situation and aftermath of the video. Some viewers complained there wasn’t a warning for those epileptic about the flash from the scanners. Others believe the employees didn’t deserve to be fired and that Walmart isn’t in any position to be letting go of workers.
Many viewiers agreed with the employees being fired and expressed that they shouldn’t have been fooling around on company time. It is unclear if any action would be taken by the former employees regarding their release.
