A manhunt is underway in Texas for three suspects accused of killing a man trying to recover some stolen dogs.

Harris County officers responded to a shooting call on the 15000 block of Wallisville around 6pm Tuesday.

Upon arrival they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

According to reports, three male suspects stole some dogs from their breeder and then contacted him about returning them for reward money.

The dog owner and a friend agreed to meet the suspects at a gas station for the exchange.

During that time an argument between the men broke out and the dog owners friend was shot.

The suspects fled the scene in a matte black Chrysler 300 sedan before officers could arrive.

The investigation remains ongoing.
