Authorities discovered Zakavia Walker in the location of a shopping center by Altmesa Boulevard and McCart Avenue close to the south part of town.
The teen was transported to a hospital and later died.
The only information that the police have is that an individual confronted her, shot her, and fled the scene.
There is no description of a suspect at this time.
