TikToker, Ricardo Land, went viral after he recorded a video of rats inside of a Popeyes in Washington, D.C.
Now, he has started a GoFundMe campaign after he says that he was suspended from his job.
On October 11, he posted a video that displayed rats running through the kitchen at a Popeyes at night. He stated, in the recording, that he is just a delivery man who brings the raw chicken to various Popeyes locations in the D.C. metroplex.
The recording, which depicted rats going up and down the pipes of the walls, has been seen over 2.3 million times. It has also received more than 340,000 likes.
On October 28, the same Popeyes location was closed down.
Land says he is now having problems supporting his family. “I have a family of five. Due to this incident, my family will be hurt by my employer. I will not be able to afford rent or other necessities.”
Land has already raised over $28,000 from his fundraiser.
Its really sad that these food establishments to be filthy and then get mad when exposed 😤 I dont see nothing wrong with what he did. It’s the restaurant thats in the wrong because that is unsanitary and will get people sick then they would be sued.So instead of firing this man get your establishments up to code.
