A Dallas man has been arrested and charged with murder after allegedly beating his girlfriend to death.
Authorities say Brandon Clyde King called authorities early Saturday morning saying that he found his girlfriend unconscious in the bedroom of their East Oakcliff home.
Witnesses that live with the couple told authorities that this was not the first incident and that King and Doucet have fought before. They also told police that they heard the couple arguing earlier that morning between 3-5 over a loud tv, dryer and portable fan.
The witness who is also a roommate at the home told authorities that King had walked out of the room and into the kitchen right before police were called.
When authorities and detectives arrived they found blood splatter over the room, walls, lamps, TVs and covers. Doucet was on the floor in the couples room unconscious and had to be transported to Methodist Center where she later died.
King was taken into custody and charged with murder and is being held in Dallas County with a $500,000 bail.
