BodyCam Footage Released On Woman Walking Dog And Being Approached By Officer

Chicago police released bodycam and surveillance video of the controversial now viral video between an officer and a woman walking her dog.
The incident took place on August 28 when Nikkita Brown was walking her dog along the lakefront after beach hours.
The footage released shows an officer approach Brown and ask her to leave the area.
Brown asked the officer to back up several times but he repeatedly yelled for her to get off the property.
The officer can be heard on the bodycam saying, “Get out of the park,” the officer yells at her as she walks backward, facing him as she retreats from the lakefront and tells him several times to “back up.”
“What do you not understand about that? The park is closed,” he can be heard saying. “You are trespassing on city property and you will go to jail if you don’t take your dog and leave.”
“Back up. Move from away from me,” she responds. Brown exclaims that the officer doesn’t have a mask, to which he responds that he doesn’t need one outside, and she replies, “You’re spitting on me.”
“I feel threatened,” she says twice as she continues to walk backwards, still facing him.
He replies, “Good”.
During that time the officer told Brown if she didn’t leave that he would handcuff and take her to jail.
She tells the officer to backup again and he grabs her hand causing a minor scuffle.
Brown begins screaming for the officer to let her go.
After a small struggle Brown is heard asking the officer for his name as she leaves with no arrests or charges made.
Chicago Police Oversight Agency placed Brown on administrative duties on August 29.
At least 27 complaints have been filed against the officer between 2000-2018.
