Father Reconnects With Son Who Was Kidnapped 24 Years Ago

After 24 years, a man in China, has been reconnected with his son after he was kidnapped.

In 1997, Guo Gangtang began searching for his 2 year-old son. The boy was snatched after playing outside their home in Shandong. When the boy could not be located, the father  carried the boy’s picture on a flag while riding a motorcycle. He also rode into 20 towns passing out fliers. He rode more than 311,000 miles and used 10 different motorcycles during the process.

In June, authorities found a male in central Henan province who had the same description as his son.

Two suspects, who were a couple at the time, were apprehended for abducting the boy and selling him.

DNA test proved that the now 26 year-old teacher is Guo’s son.

Guo and his wife sobbed and embraced their son


on Sunday.
