A couple in California found a registered sex offender standing in their child’s bedroom. He had broken in through a window.They restrained him and tied him up until police arrived.
Daniel Diaz, 39, was caught by the parents after they saw him walking around their home around 5am, authorities said.
“He was in the living room window trying to peek in, and he was grabbing his private parts and just looking around,” the mom said.
However, the father could not see the man as he walked around the house. Then, they heard a loud noise from their 5 year-old daughter’s room.
After breaking the window, the man crawled into the little girl’s room. Next, the father tackled him and the couple used duct-tape to keep him in sight until police showed up and arrested him.
Diaz was convicted of assault with the intent to commit rape in 2009. He was released in 2018.
