Coleman Thomas Blevins, 28, has been charged with making a “terroristic threat to create public fear of serious bodily injury.
He is accused of plotting to carry out a mass shooting at a Wal-Mart. He was arrested on Friday, in Texas, Kerr County Sheriff’s office has said.
Firearms, ammunition, concentrated THC, and materials described as “radical ideology paraphernalia” were found after searching the suspect’s home.
Investigators said they intercepted a message on Thursday suggesting that he was planning to proceed with a mass shooting. The threat included Wal-Mart, and Blevins was apprehended the following day.
Blevins is on felony probation and was not to be in possession of a firearm. He was booked into Kerr County Jail, in Kerrville, Texas.
