A 10-year old boy has been shot, Dallas police has said. The shooting occurred around 9pm Friday night, in the 300 block of Buttercup Ln.
The father told police that the boy and a friend were playing in the backyard after finding a gun in the home. The father said his son ran in the house and stated he’d been shot in the arm.
The boy was transported to the hospital and released.
Police later found that the children located the gun in the home and it accidentally went off. No one has been arrested. A making a firearm accessible to child offense was made.
