A man is dead and another is injured after a shootout at an Irving park Thursday.
Officers responded to a shooting call at the Mountain Creek Preserve Park on the 1000 block of E. Hunter Ferrell Rd.
Upon arrival officers found a 21 year old male unresponsive in the parking lot.
When emergency crews arrived he was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to reports a group of men and women met at the park Thursday morning to fight when it escalated to a shootout.
Another 21 year old was later brought to Baylor hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.
His condition is unknown at this time.
Authorities are investigating the motive for the shooting and no suspects have been arrested at this time.
