Rapper Jay Z is really stepping up and taking a stand this Fathers Day and doing something positive for men all over.
Jay Z announced via TIME magazine that this year for Fathers Day he will be donating to organizations that will assist in bail money to ensure dads who have been wrongfully convicted or bond set too high make it home in time for Father’s Day.
Jay goes on to say that “Last month for Mother’s Day, organizations like Southerners on New Ground and Color of Change did a major fundraising drive to bail out 100 mothers for Mother’s Day”‘ he writes, “This Father’s Day, I’m going to bail out fathers who can’t afford the due process our democracy promised”.
The rapper/ producer has spent the past year working on a docu series, which inspired him, about Kalief Browder, a young black male who was wrongfully imprisoned for three years at age 16 after insisting he was innocent.
