Armando Juarez, the man accused of killing a Dallas Police Officer, while injuring two other individuals back in 2018 will spend the rest of his natural life behind bars.
Juarez agreed to a plea deal on five charges resulting in a sentence of life without parole.
Prosecutors previously had announced they would seek the death penalty against Juarez.
Police officers stood in peaceful protest against Juarez outside the courtroom, who killed one police officer, injuring two others, a police officer, and a security guard.
This incident happened at a Home Depot in Northeast Dallas. The officer who was killed was 27-year-old Rogelio Santander. His partner was critically injured, along with the security guard.
The two responding officers were called to the Home Depot on U.S. 75 and Forest Lane when an off-duty police officer working at the store attempted to arrest a suspect.
When the police officers arrived a suspect “produced a handgun and fired shots,” striking the two officers and the civilian security guard.
Juarez was taken into custody immediately following a manhunt that night.
Rogelio Santander was the first Dallas Police Department officer to be killed in the line of duty following the 2016 ambush downtown that left four Dallas Police Officers and one Dart Police officer dead.

The other day, while I was at work, my sister stole my iphone and tested to see if it can survive a forty foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My apple ipad is now destroyed and she has 83 views. I know this is totally off topic but I had to share it with someone!|
