Officials announced Thursday, chicken wings imported from Brazil to China tested positive for the Coronavirus.
According to reports the virus was detected during a food screening on a batch of wings Wednesday in Shenzhen.
Health officials immediately tested everyone for the Coronavirus that came in contact with the product and all results were negative.
Authorities are tracing and notifying stores where similar products were sold and have disinfected the area where the chicken was stored.
The Centers for Disease Controls said in a statement, “There is no evidence to suggest that handling food or consuming food is associated with COVID-19.”
