Two Suspects Injured After Leading Police On Chase

A woman was critically injured and two suspects injured after a shooting turned into a police chase and ended in a crash early Thursday morning in Dallas.
Officers responded to a shooting call on the 1400 block of Sax Leigh Dr and when they arrived they found a woman suffering from gunshot wounds.
She was transported to Baylor hospital in critical condition.
The suspects fled the scene and led police on a chase before they crashed into a utility pole on the 5600 block of Singing Hills and fled on foot.
With the assistance of the K-9 unit and helicopters they were able to detain both suspects.
They were transported to a nearby hospital, treated for non life threatening injuries and taken into custody.
Officers recovered a pistol used at the scene and say the weapon was reported stolen during an offense that happened in Lancaster
It is unclear how the shooting happened police believe the woman and one of the suspects were having a domestic situation that led up to the shooting.
This shooting investigation is ongoing.
