Driver Shot While Traveling on I-45: Investigation Underway in Dallas

An investigation is underway following a report from an individual who claimed he was shot by another driver while traveling on a highway in Dallas.

On April 16, officers from the Dallas police were in Deep Ellum when a man approached them around 10:30 p.m. at the 2600 block of Main Street. He exhibited signs of a gunshot wound, and his vehicle had several bullet holes. The man reported that while driving on Interstate 45, just south of downtown, someone in another car began shooting at him. He was struck in the leg but managed to exit the freeway before reaching nearby officers.

Paramedics transported him to a local hospital, where he is being treated for injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

The investigation remains ongoing.
