Dallas police are looking into the fatal shooting of a teenager who accidentally shot themselves.
On April 5, 2025, around 11:40 p.m., officers were called to the scene of a shooting in the 2000 block of Alaska Avenue. When they arrived, they discovered a juvenile with an apparent gunshot wound.
Investigators determined that the injury was self-inflicted and accidental. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded shortly after and rushed the victim to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation is still active.
