The Arlington police have arrested four individuals in connection with a recent shooting that left a teen girl injured.

On March 10, 2025, a teenage girl was shot in the arm while asleep in an apartment. Apparently there was an altercation between two groups that ended with both groups exchanging gunfire at an Arlington complex.

The teen was taken to the hospital but has since been released. After limited leads, police apprehended suspects Michael Thomas and Dmarjae Johnson on March 12 following reports of an armed individual. Both were linked to the shooting.

Thomas faced multiple charges, including unlawful firearm possession due to prior felony convictions. Investigators later identified two more suspects, Cortez Atkinson and a juvenile male, both members of a gang. The juvenile was apprehended on March 18, while Atkinson turned himself in on March 19.

The shooting is believed to be retaliatory, stemming from an ongoing feud between the groups involved.
