On Monday, June 24, 2024, at about 7:24 p.m., officers in Arlington responded to the 400 block of Claire Court to investigate a supposed shooting.

When authorities arrived to the location, they discovered an 18-year-old man and a 20-year-old man with gunshot injuries. Both were taken to local medical facilities.

One of their injuries was non life-threatening; however, the 18-year-old succumbed to his wounds on June 26, 2024.

Detectives think that both victims had planned to meet the suspected assailant in the neighborhood in order to conduct high-risk drug activity. A little after they had gotten to the location, the suspect pulled out a firearm and started shooting at the car that the two victims will traveling in, hitting both of them. The suspect then left the location.

While investigating, homicide detectives named the suspect as Joshua Nunn, 17. Warrants for his arrest were obtained for murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

On Thursday, June 27, 2024, Mr. Nunn surrendered to authorities at the Tarrant County Jail.

His bond has been set at $600,000.
